Di’s Country INKers June Blog Hop

June Blog Hop-001

Welcome to this month’s Di’s Country INKers blog hop!  You’ve probably hopped on over from the fabulous Diana Gibbs.  Wasn’t her project fun?!

Our theme this month is ‘Anything That’s New’ from the about-to-be-released 2014-2015 Stampin’ Up!  Annual Catalog. One of the perks of being a demonstrator is that we get to start playing with brand spankin’ new product a month before the catalog releases, and today I’ve chosen to show you the new Sea Street stamp set and coordinating Maritime Designer Series Paper – take a look!

beelinestamping.com-sea street lobstersI am absolutely in love with the classic Real Red, Whisper White and Night of Navy with a little Coastal Cabana color scheme in this DSP pack!  Both the DSP and the Sea Street stamp set can be used in masculine nautical-themed projects as well as for whimsical kids cards with the cute star fish, and a smiling octopus.

I first saw this stamp set at the Catalog Premier Party in April.(Another perk of being a demonstrator..)  I was sitting next to my new stampin’ friend, Trenna.  Of course, we were ooh-ing and aah-ing over all the new stuff we were being shown.  When this set appeared, I said, “Oh my gosh, look at those cute crabs!!”  Trenna leaned over and whispered, “Um, Barb, those are lobsters…”  Well, this gave us both a fit of the giggles and just like laughing in church, made it all the funnier.  So naturally, the first card I made with this set HAD to have some of the crabs, I mean lobsters on it!  Ha..

The Sea Street stamp set and Maritime DSP will be available for you to order tomorrow at noon (mountain time) when the catalog goes live!  If you don’t already have your copy, give me a holler.  The catalog is free, you just need to cover the postage, but if you place an order of $50 or more, I’ll refund you the postage!

Thanks for spending a little time with me today!  Now off you go to see what Kathya has in store for you!  If you get lost at any time, the links to all of the participants are below.

April Fools Blog Hop

April Fools Blog Hop Button-001

Welcome to our April Fools Blog Hop.  So, what did you think of Diana’s project?  She always does BeelineStamping.com-April Fools Blog Hop1such cute stuff!  I am one lucky stamper to be in her downline – she’s the best!

What do you think of my Easter chick?  Well, it is April Fools day after all!  You can’t expect me to be serious all the time! Tee hee…

I just love the little bunny from the Baby We’ve Grown set.  I originally bought it to use on some scrapbook pages of my new Granddaughter, but it really came in handy for this card…  Lots of other goodies from the Occasions mini were put to use here too.  I struggled to find something to make the egg shape with but a quick Google search turned up several templates that I just printed out and traced onto the BeelineStamping.com-April Fools Blog Hop2Watercolor Wonder DSP.

And now it’s time to send you over to see what Kathya has for you.  If you get lost at any time, there’s a list of the participants below this post, and below that are clickable links for the supplies I used on this card.  Thanks for visiting!!

Sending Good Thoughts Scalloped Tag Topper Card

beelinestamping.com-scalloped tag topper 4I have another Scalloped Tag Topper card for you today!  These are so fun to make, and I’ve got a pile of them on my desk…

This one starts off with a Pistachio Pudding base that was punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.  I posted a video here showing just how that was done.  The front layer is from the Sweet Sorbet DSP pack that you can still get today as part of the Sale-a-Bration promo.  (It ends at midnight tonight – don’t wait!!)  The greeting is from Perfect Pennants and was die-cut with the Banners Framelits Dies.  A second Crisp Cantaloupe banner was layered behind the greeting, and a square of Pistachio Pudding was stamped with the dots from Perfect Pennants and layered behind both banners.  Flowers were stamped and punched with the Petite Petals bundle with matching punch.  The card is held closed with twine from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory pack.  The patterned inside is a piece of cardstock stamped in Pistachio Pudding ink with the Petal Parade stamp set – makes a cute DSP, doesn’t it?!

All supplies for this card can be found in my online store, but if there are Sale-a-Bration products you’ve got your eye on, don’t wait as today is the last day for them…  For your convenience, all the photos below are clickable links to the ordering page!

Sale-a-Bration Thank You

beelinestamping.com-Flower Shop Thank You 1Seems like I’m just hitting my stride with Sale-a-Bration, but alas, we have just a couple more days before it’s over…

Today’s Thank You card uses some of the paper from the Sweet Sorbet DSP pack that you can get for free with a $50 order.  It also uses the Flower Shop and Petite Petals stamp sets and matching punches.  Coincidentally, the stamp/punch bundles for these sets, when added together, total exactly $50.00!  How’s that for a Sale-a-Bration combination?

The other thing I’m absolutely loving about this card is the Thank You from Lots of Thanks paired with the frame from Sweetly Framed (which matches the Decorative Label punch).  Ahhh – Stampin’ Up!  They make it so easy to create great-looking stuff…

Supplies for this card are shown below.  To order, just click on the picture and you will be taken right to the ordering screen…

Scalloped Tag Topper Card Tutorial

Beelinestamping.com-scalloped tag topper 1I’ve been on a quest to find a good overhead camera mount that would work in my studio set-up.  A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon a tutorial to make one for relatively little $$ that seemed like it would work.  Two problems – I didn’t have the tools to do it with and the way they showed the camera being mounted would have given me an upside-down video.  Ugh!  I showed the tutorial to my brother, Bill, and enlisted his help to create a customized version.  Not only did he have the tools to work with, but he was able to engineer a solution to the upside-down problem!  In just a couple of days, he had the whole thing built for me and let me tell you, it works like a charm!!

I gave the new addition a test run over the weekend and was able to produce my very first video tutorial for you!  I am a neophyte at this stuff, and am still on a learning curve for the video editing program I’m using, but for a first effort, I think it turned out pretty good.  So, without further adieu, here’s how to make this card…

Card Base:  8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″

Outside Panel: 2 1/4″ x 5 1/4″

Inside Panel: 5 1/4″ x 4

Click on any of the shown supplies and you will be taken right to the ordering page of my online store!
