Are you tired of seeing my Botanical Gardens cards yet? I hope not – I have another free tutorial for you to download!
This birthday card starts with a Hello Honey card base and is a soon-to-be-retired color (sniff). Other retiring items used on this card are the Botanical Gardens designer series paper and washi tape. Get ’em while you can – they are going away for good at the end of this month!
A complete ingredient list, dimensions, and step-by-step directions are all on the tutorial. Download your copy here!
Thought you might like some details on the cards I did for the Creative Circle design team blog hop a few days ago. Here’s a close up of the first one. (the image will expand by clicking on it…)
This is a tent fold card that began with an 11 x 4 1/4″ base of Basic Black folded in half. The first layer is from the Botanical Gardens DSP pack and it is 5 1/4″ x 4. The banner is a 2″ wide strip of the same DSP, just flipped over and punched with the Banner Punch. Gotta love how easily this stuff coordinates!! The 3″ x 3 1/2″ Whisper White panel was stamped in Mint Macaron with a greeting from Birthday Blooms and layered onto a 3 1/8′ x 3 5/8″ piece of Basic Black cardstock; that panel was adhered to the card front with dimensionals. The flowers and leaves were die cut with the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies, and I sponged a little Hello Honey ink in the centers. Rhinestones were used for the flower centers and to underline the greeting – gotta have a little bling going on!
My daughter needed a last-minute card for a wedding, so I pulled out my Botanicals For You Sale-a-Bration set and added the phrase “…on your special day” to the inside and stamped a few of the flowers from that set in Hello Honey. Quite non-traditional for a wedding card, but the bride loved it!
Speaking of Sale-a-Bration, did you know that ordering the Botanicals bundle (Stamp set, coordinating framelits set, and DSP pack) from the Occasions catalog qualifies you for a free stamp set? Did you also know that the Botanicals For You stamp set was specifically designed to coordinate with the Botanicals bundle – and that you can get it for FREE?! But you gotta hurry – Sale-a-Bration ends this month. Get your list together and collect those freebies!
I’m off to enjoy our first 70 degree day of the year. How wonderful that I can have all the doors and windows open – I even heard Mr. Brown pull up with a box of new Stampin’ goodies!
