Hi, and thanks for hopping along with us today! You may be just joining us, or, you may have been sent over from Kathya’s project. What did you think? Great stuff, eh?
Each month, we decide on a theme for our hop. For October, we thought we’d all do projects that relate to fall. We added a fun little twist this month, though. You see, our fabulous upline, Diana Gibbs, has been named to this year’s Advisory Board, and as a tribute to Diana’s accomplishments, we have each selected one of her past blog post
projects to CASE. I thought it would be appropriate to go back in the archives to the day that I joined the Stampin’ Up! family under Diana. So, let’s turn back the hands of time to June 22, 2010, and see what Diana was working with way back then:
So cute! Makes me want to run out to Coldstone and get something yummy… Of course, just about everything on that card has long since been retired, so I turned to the Color Me Autumn designer series paper along with stamps and matching Framelits from the Fall Fest set. Here’s my interpretation of Diana’s project:
I just love all the colors in this paper! With the assistance of the Fun Fall Framelits, this card came together in no time – so much easier and precise than fussy cutting, especially when you use the Big Shot Magnetic Platform!
Ok, now off you go to see what loveliness Crystal has in store for you. Thanks for stopping by today. If at any point you lose your place, the hoppers are listed below.

Hiya! Thanks for taking time from your Labor Day Weekend to join us on our September Blog Hop! Maybe you arrived from Diana Gibbs’ blog, or maybe you’re just joining us. Either way, we have some fun stuff to show you, so grab a cup of coffee and hop along!
This month’s theme is anything from the new Holiday Mini catalog that just released a couple of days ago. There’s so much great stuff in this Mini that it was hard for me to decide what to show you today! In the end, the For All Things stamp set and Color Me Autumn DSP won out. I started with a base of Cajun Craze layered with Very Vanilla. It’s all topped off with an embossed panel of Mossy Meadow and the DSP, along with some 3/8″ stitched satin ribbon also in Mossy Meadow. I did some tone on tone stamping with Crushed Curry on a Chalk Talk Framelit die cut in the same color, then stamped the greeting in Early Espresso. My favorite part of this card has to be the wooden leaves from the Autumn Wooden Elements. I wasn’t happy with them in their natural color, so sponged a little Cajun Craze ink on them – so easy! Here’s a closer look:
The colored pearls above the greeting is my next favorite element on this card. I started out with my Pumpkin Pie Blendabilities markers to color them, but they were a bit too bright for the card. I turned to Skin Tone Assortment Blendies and added a little of the Mocha to bring down the brightness and match the color scheme a little better – didn’t know you could blend on a surface so small, did you?!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Now, off you go to see what fun stuff Kathya has for you…

I’ve been seeing ‘curled paper’ wreaths a lot in the last couple of months and decided I’d like to give it a try. I started out with a foam wreath found at a local big box store (Jo’s) and about six sheets of Stampin’ Up! Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper #132184 (which I am in love with!) I cut each sheet into 1/2″ strips, then took my bone folder and pulled the strips across just like you’d do with curling ribbon – so easy! It took a little while to curl all the strips, but I worked on them while watching television with the hubs. First, I attached some of the 1-1/4″ Burlap Ribbon (#132140) to the wreath with sticky strip, and wound a little twine around it. Each curled piece is then held in place with a straight pin. Again, it took a little time to pin them all onto the wreath base, but I really loved the way it was shaping up. It still needed a little something, so I embossed a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock with the Houndstooth folder (#123134) To that, I added the ‘Thankful’ which I cut from a Gold Foil Sheet (#132622) using one of the Expressions Thinlits Dies (#132171) and some leaves that I cut from Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango, and Chocolate Chip cardstock and the Autumn Accents Bigz Die (#127812) The button is retired from a few years ago…
So, my front door is ready for Thanksgiving – now on to the rest of the house! I’m still in the process of moving all my ‘toys’ into my new Studio, but I’ll have more on that in a few days when I’ve finished!
Thanks for visiting today, and as always, these products and a whole lot more are available in my online store
