I’m thrilled to be joining some very talented stampers in my very first SUDSOL blog tour! In case you’re wondering, SUDSOL is a membership site where Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the globe get together online to chat, help, and support each other in our Stampin’ businesses. From creative samples, tutorials, and class outlines to business tips, discussion forums, and blog tools, Sudsol is wealth of information exclusively for demonstrators. One of my most-used tools that comes included with my membership is Instant Icons. Each time I do a blog post, I use the Instant Icons feature to add images and direct links to my online store for the products I’ve used in making my projects. All I need do is enter my demonstrator ID# and a list of the product numbers I’ve used and Instant Icons creates an html file that I copy and past into my blog post. Couldn’t be easier!! We even have our own Pin boards where we can save inspiration for classes that our customers won’t see. Would you like to see how it all works and what SUDSOL is all about? I’ve had several occasions this month that I needed Wedding and Anniversary cards for, so the projects I’ll be showing you today are the cards I made with the Floral Phrases stamp set and coordinating Detailed Floral Thinlits dies. The cards I made with them look like I spent hours on them, but in reality, each of them took just minutes to make – they were that easy! Here are the first two:
The full-sized card began with an 8 1/2 x 5 1/4 sheet of Whisper White scored at 4 1/4 for the base. A second panel of Whisper White cut at 5 1/4 x 4 was die cut at the top and bottom with the Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies. The greeting was stamped in Night of Navy and the panel was accented with a bit of the Night of Navy Baker’s Twine and some Rhinestones. It was adhered to the base with the Fine Tip Glue Pen. So elegant, yet so easy to do! I used one of our Note Cards and Envelopes to create the Thank You card. A little stamping in Night of Navy and some of the Floral Boutique Designer Washi Tape made that card come together in under 5 minutes.
My next project was done for my dear Aunt and Uncle’s 50th wedding anniversary.
I started with an 11 x 4 1/4 sheet of Night of Navy and scored it at 2 1/4″ and 7 3/4″ then used the Floral Thinlits dies to die cut each of the flaps.
For the inside of the card, I used a 8 x 5 1/4 sheet of Shimmery White that was scored at 4″. After stamping and gold embossing the “Happy Anniversary” from Number of Years, I stamped the inside in Night of Navy and added a bit of the Floral Boutique Washi Tape.
The whole package is held together with a bit of the Night of Navy Baker’s Twine. The embellishment on the front was done with the Lots of Labels thinlits and some Gold Glimmer Paper and Night of Navy Cardstock. I had intended to use the Large Numbers Framelits for the “50” but they proved to be a bit too large for what I wanted to do, so I die-cut them on my Cameo.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. It’s now time to send you to the next stop on the tour. I hope I’ve been able to inspire you today and that you’ll consider becoming a SUDSOL member. And if you’re not yet a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, why not join both?!
