Christmas and Holiday Blog Hop

December 2015 Blog Button-Resized

It’s the first of the month and that means another blog hop with Di’s Country INKers!  This month we are featuring Christmas and Holiday projects.  How about that project that Di had for you?  Did you like it or what…beelinestamping.com 12-1-15

From the moment the Holiday catalog was released, I just fell in love with both the Cozy Christmas stamp set and the Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper pack.  It only seemed fitting that I should work with them for this month’s project!  I just can’t seem to get enough of this DSP – each time I look at it, it makes me think of Christmas celebrations at my Grandparent’s house when I was little.  My Grandma had a little sitting room at the front of the house that was decorated in shades of deep olive greens with gold accents, much like the mistletoe pattern I used here.

For this card, I began with a base of Mossy Meadow which was layered with Very Vanilla and an additional piece of Mossy Meadow.  A strip of Gold Glitter ribbon was adhered with Fast Fuse.  Next, I created a 2 1/4 x 4 1/4 panel of Mossy Meadow which was topped with a 2 x 4 panel of the mistletoe DSP.  The top layer started with a piece of Mossy Meadow cut with the Circle Framelits and the greeting was stamped in Mossy Meadow ink onto Very Vanilla and punched with the 2 1/2″ circle punch.  The greeting was accented with a bow made from 1/8″ Gold Ribbon and a bit of Gold Glitz Dazzling Details.

I hate to stamp and run, but I’ve got a wish list to make for the upcoming spring mini catalog!  It goes live on January 5th, but one of the best perks of being a demonstrator is being able to see the new catalogs AND order from it as early as December 3rd!  Wanna see it now and get your hands on some gorgeous product ahead of everyone else?  Get in touch and lets talk about signing you up!

It’s time to send you off to see what Crystal has to show you.  Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Remember to take some time away from holiday preparations and stamp a little – its therapeutic!

Creative Circle Blog Hop and Giveaway

Creative Circle Blog Hop Resized

Welcome to the November edition of the Creative Circle Blog Hop!  You may have arrived from seeing Fran’s lovely ensemble or you may be just joining us – either way, we have some great stuff to show you!

Beelinestamping.com 11-5-15This month we are working with Liz’ Simple Box pattern, and I chose a Fall/Thanksgiving theme for my project.  I’m really finding it difficult to put the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set down, and it pairs so well with the Into the Woods Designer Series Paper!  The first card in my set picks up the Rich Razzleberry and Mossy Meadow colors in the DSP.  The leaf was stamped in Mossy Meadow on Whisper White, die cut with the Leaflets Framelits and then Mossy Meadow ink was sponged overall.  The “Thankful” sentiment  from Six Sayings Hostess Set was stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink onto Whisper White, then the corners were punched with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch – love it!  The second card echoes the cover of my box and uses the lovely floral pattern from the Into the Woods DSP as it’s focal point.  My third card went a bit rogue – I wondered if I could heat emboss the gold foil paper – turns out you can, but it’s a little tricky.  It takes a steady hand to stamp onto the foil.  The surface is so smooth and shiny that the inked stamp wants to slide around a bit, but I think the result is worth the extra effort.  Black embossing over the Gold Foil is simply elegant!

Beelinestamping.com 11-5-15aThe box to hold all these cards in is super simple to cut and assemble.  It’s not your ordinary box, however – the front half of the box lid flips open so you can access your cards without having to remove the lid.  Would you like to make one (or several) of your own?  Liz is offering this pattern as a freebie!  All you need to do is head over here

and download it!  How cool is that?

I do hope you have time to hop along with us – Liz is next on our hop, and I’m sure her set is wonderful, as always!!  Thanks for stopping by today.  With the Holiday season nearing, please remember to take some time out for yourself and create – it’s a wonderful stress reliever!
