I’m using Sale-a-Bration products to celebrate the launch of my brand-spankin’ new blog design! Whaddya think?
I started messing around with the half star burst stamp from the Sale-a-Bration set called Amazing You and realized that by stamping it twice, it kind of looked like a burst of fireworks. Fireworks made me think of red, white, and blue and since I just happened to have red and blue Brusho crystals on my desk, a 4th of July card started happening. I had white embossed starbursts, but the piece just needed more sparkle – enter the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies (Also a Sale-a-Bration award!) and some Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper – the perfect touch!
March begins the final month of Sale-a-Bration – the best promotion of the year! Don’t wait too long to get your favorite choices – things will start selling out, and are only available while supplies last. And, for the first time ever, The Celebrate You Thinlits as well as the Basket Weave Embossing Folder will be carried over into the upcoming 2018/2019 Annual Catalog!
Off you go to see what products Kathya has been playing with. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy New Year! Today we are featuring projects from Stampin Up’s new 2018 Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs that go live in just two days! I don’t know how they do it, but Stampin’ Up! always manages to wow me with each new catalog they release, and this one is no exception. The very first suite of products that caught my eye was Sweet Soiree beginning on page 12 of the 2018 Occasions catalog. I love to make birthday cards, and I especially love florals, so of course, these coordinating products really tickled my fancy!
Here I’ve paired Powder Pink cardstock with a strip of DSP from the Sweet Soiree pack. It’s accented with some Silver washi tape from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment pack. The gift was stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed in silver. I used reinkers and an Aqua Painter brush to color in the florals with Berry Burst, Calypso Coral and Old Olive ink. That was fussy cut and layered with some Silver Metallic Thread. I did a wash of Rich Razzleberry right on the card base and popped up the gift with dimensionals. The ‘For You’ greeting was heat embossed with Silver powder and die cut with the oval from the Coffee Cups Framelits set. A few scattered rhinestones finished off the piece.
Start getting your wish list together – these catalogs and Stampin’ Up’s best sale of the year launch on January 3rd! With every $50 in merchandise ordered, you earn your choice of free products from the Sale-a-Bration catalog. This year, there are two $100 level choices as well! Cute stuff – if you haven’t gotten your catalogs yet, let me know and I’ll be happy to get a set out to you.
Off you go now to see what Kathya has to show you! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop. In case you get off track, the hop stops are shown below.

March 1st begins the last month of Sale-a-Bration (SAB), and to kick it off, we are featuring products from the best sale of the year in this month’s Blog Hop. If you’ve arrived from Di’s blog, thanks for hopping along.
As if there weren’t enough great SAB gifts to choose from, Stampin’ Up! has added three new choices! My favorite, so far, is the Glimmer Paper Assortment pack – 12 sheets, 3 colors, 4 sheets of each beautiful color! In today’s project, I chose to work with the Mint Macaron and Sweet Sugar Plum papers, the third color in the assortment is Bermuda Bay. You’ve got to see these papers for yourself – they are gorgeous!!
I started with a base of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock topped with a DSP layer from the Succulent Garden pack. I used the Layering Squares framelits to cut a piece of the Mint Macaron Glimmer Paper, then added a Whisper White layer cut with the Stitched Shapes framelits. The Sweet Sugarplum stamped images I used are from Flourishing Phrases, and I added two die cuts from the Flourish Thinlits Dies. The Layering Ovals and Stitched Shapes Framelits were used to cut the greeting assembly. The card was finished with a bow made with the 3/8″ Ruched Ribbon.
I know you’re going to enjoy Kathya’s project, so off you go to see what she has in store for you. Thanks so much for stopping by today. Remember that Sale-a-Bration awards are only available while supplies last – so get your favorites before they’re gone!

Mar 5, 2016 | 2016, Blog Hops, Creative Circle, Live Event, Occasions Catalog, Sale-A-Bration |
Welcome to the Creative Circle March Blog Hop. This month we are giving you a preview of The Garden – one of Liz’ most recent projects. If you’ve just come from her blog, you got a chance to see her lovely interpretation of the design. Because it’s so easy to resize cut files on my Silhouette, I decided to miniaturize it a bit and make a card-in-a-box! My garden was primarily constructed with cardstock with a few bits of Botanical Gardens DSP used on the outside of the box (visible with flaps up) and the trellis. All the flowers were cut using the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies and cardstock (Basic Black, Hello Honey, Whisper White, Old Olive, and Mossy Meadow) the Happy Birthday greeting on the front was done with Teeny Tiny Wishes and the Word Window punch.
I made a couple of companion cards to go with the set – take a look:
Again, I relied heavily on cardstock for my basic color scheme and accented with die cut flowers and bits of Botanical Gardens DSP. The greetings used were from Birthday Blooms and Botanicals For You – a Sale-a-Bration set designed to coordinate with the Botanicals suite!
If you will be in Salt Lake City on Wednesday, April 13th, consider joining us for our live event at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center. You’ll get a pre-cut kit for The Garden 3D cardholder as well as 3 coordinating cards. You’ll also receive a download code for all the cut files, a video tutorial on it’s assembly, as well as unwatermarked, unrestricted, written tutorials for the cards we make at the event as well as 9 additional coordinating cards. To further entice you, here are a few teaser photos:
Thanks for hopping along with us – next up is Fran! Hope we get a chance to meet you in April…

Feb 1, 2016 | 2016, Blog Hops, Sale-A-Bration, Valentines |
Welcome to our February issue of Di’s Country INKers blog hop! Did you enjoy what Diana had to show you?
It’s Sale-a-Bration time and I’ve been playing with some of my new FREE stamps! As soon as I saw the heart-shaped vapor trail in the Sky is the Limit stamp set, I knew what the first card I made with it would be – a Valentine! Take a look:
I started with a base of Basic Grey and layered it with Real Red and a Basic Grey striped panel from the Neutrals DSP stack. On the 5″ x 3″ main panel, I stamped the airplane and greeting in Basic Grey, and the vapor trail was stamped in Smoky Slate. I used a blender pen and Real Red classic ink to color in the body of the airplane. The ‘Valentine’ stamp is from a retired set called Something to Celebrate. I stamped it in Real Red on a banner of Whisper White, and layered that over a slightly larger Real Red banner. I shaped it with my bone folder and wrapped a little silver cording around the left edge. I like how it looks as if it’s fluttering in the wind! The final touch was to add a little Wink of Stella glimmer to the heart in the vapor trail. Here’s a closer look at the pretty shimmer:
As if there aren’t already some wonderful items in the Sale-a-Bration catalog that you can get for free, on February 15th there will be a few new items added! With every $50 in product ordered (before tax/shipping) you get to choose one award – doesn’t get much better than free!
Ok, now off you go to see what Kathya has in store for you. Something delightful, I’m certain!! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop.

Jan 1, 2016 | 2016, Occasions Catalog, Sale-A-Bration |
Welcome and Happy New Year to you!! In keeping with the ‘New’ theme, our first blog hop showcases products from the about-to-be-released Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs. Hope you enjoyed what Di had for you – here’s my project:
My card starts out with a base of the Whisper White Thick cardstock and is layered with a sheet from one of the new Designer Series Paper packs called Wildflower Fields that you can get for FREE starting January 5th when the Sale-a-Bration catalog goes live! I created a layered tag using Blushing Bride and Whisper White cardstock and the Triple Banner and Ornate Tag Topper punches. The cute little chick and balloon is from a set called Honeycomb Happiness – also available as a FREE Sale-a-Bration award! I stamped the chick and balloon once on the tag, then stamped the chick again on a scrap piece of Whisper White. He was watercolored with Daffodil Delight ink and shaped to give him a puffy tummy. I used dimensionals to not only adhere the shaped piece to the card, but to keep his tummy from flattening out. You could also use a tiny bit of cotton ball to maintain the shape as well. I think my favorite part of this card, however, is the balloon, and it’s done with one of the Honeycomb Embellishments from the new Occasions Catalogs. These little accent pieces come in White, Blushing Bride, and Mint Macaron – so cute!! After I watercolored the bow on the balloon, I gave it a bit of shimmer using the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush pen – another new item from the Occasions catalog! Here it is close-up:
It’s a little hard to capture the lovely shimmer this pen leaves (not so hard to see my coloring oops! Ha!) but this pen is by far becoming one of my favorite items in the catalog. It comes in Gold too! My card was finished off with a Blushing Bride Cotton bow and a piece of a Tea Lace Paper Doily.
You should have received your new Catalogs by now – if you didn’t, please get in touch with me and I’ll get a set sent out to you. You’ll especially want to see the Sale-a-Bration catalog as soon as possible. For every $50 in merchandise, you get to select a Free item, and this year, there are three Limited-Time products that are only available through February 15!
Your next stop on the Hop is Crystal, so off you go to see what lovely project she has in store for you! Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope 2016 brings you Health, Happiness and Prosperity…
