Jan 1, 2015 | 2015, Occasions Catalog, Sale-A-Bration |

Happy New Year and thanks for taking time today to hop along with us as we preview the Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs. So, what did you think of Diana’s project – cute, eh?!
When I first saw this Designer Series Paper at the Live Catalog Premiere event in early December, I just knew that would be one of the first things I played with. Rarely is there a DSP pack in which I like every side of every sheet, but the Painted Blooms DSP pack is the exception to the norm. I’m going to have a really hard time using one side over the other – oh well, guess I’ll just have to order several packs! <wink>
After I got a chance to browse the Sale-a-Bration catalog and saw the lemon image from A Happy Thing stamp set, I knew immediately that this would work great with the blues and greens in the DSP. I just love the combination of yellow with blue – it makes me feel very cheerful… So what did I color the lemon with? Why the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities marker set, of course! And this year, Blendabilities marker sets are available as a Sale-a-Bration award – how cool is that?!
Allow me to gush a little bit when I tell you that this year’s Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs are simply fabulous. I can’t tell you how tempted I am to order at least one of every item in them. If you haven’t gotten your copies yet, please, give me a holler and I’ll get some out to you. I’m serious when I say you won’t want to miss these!!
Alrighty then – I’ve got lots more new product to play with, so I’m going to sent you off to see what Kathya has cooked up for you. Take a peek below to see all the ingredients I used on this card. Oh, and in case you get off track, a full list of our hoppers can also be found below.
Again, Happy New Year to you; I sincerely hope yours is happy, healthy, productive, and prosperous!

Mar 31, 2014 | 2014 Spring Mini Catalog, Banner Framelits, Perfect Pennants, Petite Petals, Sale-A-Bration, Scalloped Tag Topper |
I have another Scalloped Tag Topper card for you today! These are so fun to make, and I’ve got a pile of them on my desk…
This one starts off with a Pistachio Pudding base that was punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. I posted a video here showing just how that was done. The front layer is from the Sweet Sorbet DSP pack that you can still get today as part of the Sale-a-Bration promo. (It ends at midnight tonight – don’t wait!!) The greeting is from Perfect Pennants and was die-cut with the Banners Framelits Dies. A second Crisp Cantaloupe banner was layered behind the greeting, and a square of Pistachio Pudding was stamped with the dots from Perfect Pennants and layered behind both banners. Flowers were stamped and punched with the Petite Petals bundle with matching punch. The card is held closed with twine from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory pack. The patterned inside is a piece of cardstock stamped in Pistachio Pudding ink with the Petal Parade stamp set – makes a cute DSP, doesn’t it?!
All supplies for this card can be found in my online store, but if there are Sale-a-Bration products you’ve got your eye on, don’t wait as today is the last day for them… For your convenience, all the photos below are clickable links to the ordering page!

Mar 30, 2014 | 2014, 2014 Spring Mini Catalog, Petite Petals, Sale-A-Bration |
Seems like I’m just hitting my stride with Sale-a-Bration, but alas, we have just a couple more days before it’s over…
Today’s Thank You card uses some of the paper from the Sweet Sorbet DSP pack that you can get for free with a $50 order. It also uses the Flower Shop and Petite Petals stamp sets and matching punches. Coincidentally, the stamp/punch bundles for these sets, when added together, total exactly $50.00! How’s that for a Sale-a-Bration combination?
The other thing I’m absolutely loving about this card is the Thank You from Lots of Thanks paired with the frame from Sweetly Framed (which matches the Decorative Label punch). Ahhh – Stampin’ Up! They make it so easy to create great-looking stuff…
Supplies for this card are shown below. To order, just click on the picture and you will be taken right to the ordering screen…

HA – I’ll bet that got your attention! Let me explain…
Chris, my dear husband, is a master when it comes to finding deals. I let him plan all our vacations because if there’s a bargain to be had, he will find it. He’ll research hotels, rental cars and excursions to the N’th degree until he’s satisfied that he’s looked at everything that can possibly be looked at and only then will he pull the trigger and book something. (Am I right, Marisa?)
There’s one word in the English dictionary, though, that will get him each and every time: FREE! If something is free, he’s on it. Going to a travel show? He’ll come home with a shopping bag full of brochures. Going to a trade show? A suitcase full of pens, stuffed animals, gadgets and who knows what makes its way home. He’s brought home so much ‘stuff’ that ‘Free’ has been dubbed the four-letter F word in our house!
I’m not always opposed to ‘Free’, however – especially when it comes to Stampin’ Up! stuff and the annual Sale-a-Bration promotion where you get FREE product with each $50 purchase.

My personal favorites? The Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper is top on the list. And it’s funny, but I had mixed reactions when I saw it in the catalog, but when I started playing with it, oh my… I also find myself reaching for the Decorative Dots embossing folder, and the Banner punch (which, by the way, is still going to be available in the 2014-2015 annual catalog!) So, what are you waiting for? Get your FREE stuff today!

During last week’s blog hop, I posted this card and promised to write a tutorial on how I made the twine flowers.

I’m happy to tell you that I’ve just finished the tutorial and you can now download it! Here you go:
