Happy Easter, everyone! C’mon in and take a peep peek at our April blog hop…
Silly me forgot to snap a photo of the Easter card I sent out to my family this year, so I’ve chosen to show you another card that I did for a fellow co-worker who recently retired. She was moving out of state and taking very little with her, so a bouquet of roses simply wouldn’t have been practical as a gift. The Petal Passion Suite came to my rescue and I made her a card with roses that would last forever!
I stamped the roses from Petal Palette stamp set and colored them with Stampin’ Blends markers and die-cut them with the Petals & More Thinlits dies. The sweet little bird is from the same stamp set and also has a coordinating die to cut him out with. With so many images in this stamp set, it wasn’t difficult to find a greeting and additional flowers to complete the front panel. The Basic Black card base was layered with two of the lovely patterns found in the Petal Passion designer series paper pack. A little Whisper White 1/4″ Organza ribbon and a few rhinestones were all the accents needed to complete this card. With 15 images in the stamp set, 10 dies in the coordinating die set, and the gorgeous papers, ribbon and embossing folders, this suite is by far one of my most favorite in the Occasions catalog!
If only spring would arrive in my neck of the woods. As I write, it is a brisk 23 degrees out which feels like 14 with the wind chill. Yes, it’s April and we are still talking about wind chill factors! I’m heading back to my studio to stamp some more birds and flowers and dream of spring. I hope you’ll head over to Kathya’s blog and see what she’s stamped for you today.

Oh I love it and I am pretending you said poop and had to strike it out. Sure will miss you in a week. But so jealous you and Kristen will be together. Hugs, Di
I love the pop of red roses contrasting the black/white Petal Passion. The little bird looks great sitting there, too. As Ellie said, thank you for taking the lead on our blog hops!
So pretty how you used the red flowers with this stamp set and papers – and definitely longer lasting than real flowers….now we just need scented ink, right? Hope it starts to warm up in your area soon, and thank you so much for keeping the blog hops going!
Fun hop Barb!! Thank you for all your work and effort to keep us in line!! I love your card!!! My favorite suite from all the sets in the Occasions catalog. Hugs and have a blast at ON STAGE!!
thanks, Ellie! My fave too. Sure wish we were going to the same OnStage location!!
