It’s the first of the month, and time for another Di’s Country INKers Blog Hop! That little Easter Bunny will be coming around in just a few short weeks. I’m hoping (praying) that we will have some spring flowers showing to guide him on his way!
I’m far to impatient to wait for my tulips to bloom, so I stamped some flowers of my own. These lovely blooms are from the Indescribable Gift set. I stamped them in Versamark on Whisper White cardstock, then heat embossed in gold. The petals were colored with the Pink Pirouette Blendabilities set and the leaves with Wild Wasabi Blendies.
To create the gold frame, I used the second largest of the Oval Framelits. In order to leave just a little of the gold oval showing, I traced the outside of the same framelit on the back of a Pink Pirouette layer and hand cut it. It was embossed with the Spring Flowers Embossing folder before layering in over the gold oval. I added a little bow with 1/8″ gold ribbon, and finished off the piece with some Gold Stampin’ Glitter on the stamen.

Hiya! So glad you could join us on this month’s edition of the Di’s Country INKers blog hop. You’ve probably arrive from Di’s blog, but if you’re just joining us, grab a cuppa and hop along with us. We’ve got some cute Valentine’s Day and Friendship ideas to inspire you with.
I actually have two projects to show you today. First up is a clean and simple Valentine. I started with an 11 
x 4 1/4 card base that I scored at 5 1/2 to form a tent-style card. The second layer was partially embossed with the Happy Heart Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The stamped words are from the Crazy About You Photopolymer set. Because Photopolymer stamps are clear, I was able to see right through the stamp to line things up properly. A strip of Real Red 1/4″ cotton ribbon was adhered below the words and the corners were rounded using the Project Life corner rounder punch. The two stacked hearts were cut from Real Red cardstock – the large one is die-cut from the smallest of the Hearts Collection framelits, and the smaller heart was done using a punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. The final touch was to add black dots between the Love You’s with the Project Life journaling pen.
I don’t usually show two projects in one post, but January’s My Paper Pumpkin kit was just so darned cute that I thought I’d show you what they sent!

Happy New Year and thanks for taking time today to hop along with us as we preview the Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs. So, what did you think of Diana’s project – cute, eh?!
When I first saw this Designer Series Paper at the Live Catalog Premiere event in early December, I just knew that would be one of the first things I played with. Rarely is there a DSP pack in which I like every side of every sheet, but the Painted Blooms DSP pack is the exception to the norm. I’m going to have a really hard time using one side over the other – oh well, guess I’ll just have to order several packs! <wink>
After I got a chance to browse the Sale-a-Bration catalog and saw the lemon image from A Happy Thing stamp set, I knew immediately that this would work great with the blues and greens in the DSP. I just love the combination of yellow with blue – it makes me feel very cheerful… So what did I color the lemon with? Why the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities marker set, of course! And this year, Blendabilities marker sets are available as a Sale-a-Bration award – how cool is that?!
Allow me to gush a little bit when I tell you that this year’s Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs are simply fabulous. I can’t tell you how tempted I am to order at least one of every item in them. If you haven’t gotten your copies yet, please, give me a holler and I’ll get some out to you.
