Turkey Day is nearly upon us and it is only appropriate that this month our Blog Hop features projects that reflect Thanks, Thankful, or Thanksgiving. If you’ve arrived from Di’s Blog, welcome! We have a few stops on our hop, and I hope you enjoy each project.
I’ve had the Painted Harvest stamp set for a couple months now, and I’m still asking myself why I haven’t played with it before now! The color combinations, some close to nature, and some with artistic license, are endless. This is a fun one, folks! And because it’s designed to give a water colored look, there really is no right or wrong way to line it up – so easy!!
Usually when I’m designing a card, I have a general idea of where I’m going with it. Not the case today. I grabbed a sheet of Very Vanilla cardstock and just started stamping different color combinations until I landed on this one. The bottom flower layer is stamped in Crushed Curry, the smaller petals were stamped in Pumpkin Pie (appropriate for a Thanksgiving card, eh?) The center is Crumb Cake. This flower panel was mounted on Gold foil paper and accented with a Linen Thread bow. The greeting was stamped in Crumb Cake on Crushed Curry cardstock and also layered on Gold Foil. A card base of Crushed Curry, Gold Foil and Old Olive cardstock that was embossed with the Layered Leaves 3D embossing folder.
Thanks for stopping by today, now off you go to see what Nita has to show you!
